Best way to get from Venice airport to center of Venice?
We are flying into the Venice airport in June, and have no idea what our options are for getting to the center. Is there a vaporetto line? Thanks for your help!

Hi abby,
Aliliguna water shuttle (http://www.alilaguna.it/)
Bus to Pzza Roma and a vaporetto to your hotel stop (http://www.actv.it/)
Water taxi direct to your hotel.

The best way is by water taxi--cruising through the lagoon in one of these beautiful machines, and then gliding into one of mankind's most creative expressions of wealth, faith, and hubris is a wonderful experience.
Expensive, but wonderful.

Water taxi. Fast, wet, more likely to get you nearer your hotel, since they don't go to stops. Price is negotiable; about 80 euro for the group.
Alilaguna. Slower boat, less splash, less expense, but they only drop you at designated stops. (They are like vaporettos, but the vaporettos do not go to the airport). Price is, I think, 10 euro each.
Shuttle bus to train station at Mestre; train to Venice Santa Lucia. Fairly quick, if the connections are right. The initial view of the grand canal on exiting the train station is felt by many to be memorable. From there, vaporetto to the stop nearest your lodgings. I don't know the price, but it is probably far less than a water taxi.
Bus to the parking garage in Venice, from there, vaporetto to the stop nearest your lodgings; fast, but you miss the view. I don't know the price.
Taxi to the parking garage. See bus above.
Look into buying multi-day vaporetto passes to save some money. They are sold right outside the train station. Try to squeeze in an evening vaporetto ride on the route that circles Venice, just for the scenery; get a gondola for romance.
Enjoy your trip.

No, Venice has one airport. The other airport is near Treviso.
Just don't have a terrible hangover as bbano did (per his post on another thread) and you will be fine.
Not sure where the third airport is that he is thinking of.
Happy travels!

If you buy a ticket for Venice on certain airlines, they will land you in Treviso. You just have to be careful when you are buying. Treviso is farther from Venice than Marco Polo, which I think is in Mestre, but both have public transportation to Venice.

All this info is correct. The tricky part, if you're not going to do the water taxi, is figuring out which is the best option for you based on where your hotel is located.
The land bus goes to the train station so if your hotel is near there or near a vaparetto stop near there, that's a good pick. Another option that hasn't been mentioned is a land taxi (same route as bus) to the train station and then a vaparetto from there.
The alilaguna makes a few stops, the most well known being San Marco. But there's also a line that goes to Zattere which is convenient if you're staying in Dorsoduro.
