Best way to get from Monterosso, Cinque Terre to Pisa Airport
I have an early morning flight from Pisa and will be staying the night before in Monterosso (Cinque Terre). I know there's a train to Pisa, with an airport shuttle to the airport but I'm worried about the connection time. Has anyone done it this way? Does anyone know about a taxi or driver service that I can contact?
Thanks
Thanks

Your hotel desk will be a good source of info if nothing else turns up - email them and ask.
the first train leave Monterosso at 5:28 am and goes direct to Pisa Central in just over an hour later - the new shuttle thing to the airport takes only 15 minutes or so.
Later trains take 30 minutes longer and require a change of trains.

Even if someone has done it, if it differs in what it means by unspecified "early morning flight," then it would probably not help you.
If you don't want to post the specifics, flight time, the date, etc, you can asses the situation yourself to see if a train is even a possibility. Use www.trenitalia.com, choose the same day of the week next week if you are looking at dates way in the future, and assess the situation. Do consider that Italian trains don't always run on time.
If there is no train that gets you to Pisa in time, then either use a transfer, probably over 150€. If this kind of charge is not acceptable to you, the original plan was a no go to start with.

My rule: when in Italy, always be in my departure city the night before my flight home. Or any flight where missing the plane would be a significant pain. Things happen in Italy: strikes, breakdowns, traffic jams.
OTOH you don't need to be at the airport 3 hours ahead of time. 2 hours should be enough.

Monterosso dp 23.35 - Pisa Centrale ar 2.16. Change at Chiavari. Is that early enough?>
Is that early or late enough? What do you do at Pisa Centrale from 2:16 am until the airport shuttle starts running - sleep on the station benches?

OK good point and I asked OP sho never said but I think early morning to me and many means 7 am or so but your are right you never know 12:01 am could be early morning I guess. It just didn't seem that many planes take off at 4 or 5 am due to noise for residents I would think.

sorry - the flight is 8:50 am....not that early I guess.
I've decided to take the 5:28 am train to Pisa and then the shuttle bus to the airport. Anyone take the shuttle in the last few months? They don't have a train anymore while they're constructing the PisaMover.

People mover now open says kybourbon - a real guru when it comes to trains and buses and anything that moves in Italy - her post for a current thread:

There is also the Terravision bus from Pisa airport (only a few minutes from Pisa Centrale via the People Mover) to Florence SMN. It's 5€ and the People Mover is 1.30€ (runs until midnight).

Note it seems the Terravision bus from Florence goes direct to Pisa Airport - no involving any people mover.
