Best trip for cold weather in October/November

My husband and I are planning on taking a trip in October/November. We've both lived in Europe (husband in Berlin and I in the Netherlands) and I have traveled quite a lot but since we have limited time (no more than 2 weeks), I am having a hard time deciding where to visit. My husband has been to Greece and Germany. I have visited London, Amsterdam, Paris, Prague, Barcelona, Mallorca, the coast of Croatia, Rome, Normandy and a few other smaller places. I don't mind revisiting some places as my husband has not traveled as much but I would really love to explore a new place together. I would love to visit Greece or some nice places in the Mediterranean but I know the weather is not great during this time so I would like to save those places for future trips where I can really soak up the sun and enjoy the coast.
My husband is into skiing and relaxing and I am into history, art and museums.
Sorry for the long post but where do you recommend? Any great locations that are off the beaten path? Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

Munich & its surroundings. Too early for skiing, I think, but lots of variety of both natural sights & cultural sights, outdoor activities.

Also, since neither of you appears to have been to Portugal, maybe that would work.

Portugal is a great idea. I didn't even think about that. I'll look into it. Thanks!

There really are no off the beaten path places anymore. For your time of year I'd suggest Portugal or Southern Spain. Your husband MIGHT be able to ski in the Sierra Nevada above Granada, tho' it might be too early. Otherwise, Sicily.
