Best Transport to Munich Hotel with Kids

Hello. What is the best way to get from the Munich airport to our hotel (Maximilian Munich) door to door with a toddler, infant, and 2 adults (with bags and stollers)? Thanks!

Taxi. That is the easiest and most stress-free way. It won't be cheap but you don't want to have to figure out time tables and fares and locate platforms when you're stepping off of an airplane with small children.

Indeed. As much as I am in favour of public transport usually, in your case, arriving after a probably long flight with two tired littlies in tow, a taxi makes sense and is worth investing in.

And there are taxi vans so you won't be cramped for space.

A taxi from the airport to central Munich costs around €60-65, depending on traffic.
So that would currently be US$ 82-90. Just that you have an idea how expensive it is.

If you don't feel that stressed that day, you can use the train (S-Bahn) into town. Which costs €20 for a day pass which will cover your whole "group" and would be valid the whole day on Munich's rail, tram and bus network.
Next S-Bahn station for your hotel would be Isartor - appr. 5-10mins walking.
Both S-Bahn lines which start at the airport (lines 1 and 8, every 20mins respectively) call at Isartor - but line 8 will make it in less time, appr. 40 minutes).
