Best take away crepes in Paris?

Hello..can anyone recommend good places to find some good crepes stands in Paris? Are they all over, or are there some areas that have really good ones? I'm looking for some cheap yumme food we can sort of grab on the run..

Thanks!

The best crepe stand is the one in front of you when you are hungry! Seriously they are common and I'm no expert but any I had were wonderful.

agree w/ suze...never met a crepe i didn't like. yummy...banana & nutella crepe. part of the joy of being in paris (or any city) is going through the trial and error of finding the "right one". that way you'll have your own stories and suggestions.

Hello. I live in Paris and have a special crepe stand that I think is the best. It's in the 14th in Montparnasse on the corner of the rue d'Odessa and bd Edgar Quinet. It's a take-away window but it's connected to a cafe called Cafe de la Place. TIP: avoid buying crepes that are pre-made. Watching the crepe maker slowly twirl the batter round the flat grill will make your mouth water...and it's worth the wait.

I don't know the name of it, but it's a window crepe stand on the NE corner of Rue du Faubourg Montmartre and Blvd Montmartre in the 9th, right next to the Grands Boulevards metro station. The banana and nutella crepe is sublime!

Here are some more recent suggestions:

There's a good one on Blvd St Germain, a few blocks east of St Michel, although I can't remember the exact cross-street. I found that it's hard to get a bad crepe.

martytravels and ucsun - add me to that list! That was the very first crepe I ever had in Paris and it was love at first bite. I went through several variations during that visit - ham and cheese, tuna and cheese, of course nutella and chocolate, <<au sucre>> and on and on. It was on the walk home to the hotel and I ate there almost every day!

Here's a list I created on my VirtualTourist Paris page (gleaned from info found on Fodor's threads) and below that is a list of possible flavors. One caveat, though, is that the crêpe must be freshly made to have the best not one that's premade, heated, then made up. My 3 favorite crêpe stands on the list are the 2 by Nôtre Dame & the 1 by Café du Marché in the 7th.
