Best sociable yet intimate hostels for a lone student traveller?

Jump to last reply

Hey guys, I was wandering if people had suggestions for good hostels to meet people in Europe?

I'm a student living in the UK. Whenever I've traveled in the past, it's the people I've met who have always made the trip for me, and since I'm planning on taking more trips to Europe in the future, knocking destinations off my "list" isn't a priority.

Somewhere fun, and with character would be ideal. Slightly smaller would be better, as the bigger hostels can be great party locations, but often tend to attract people who've come to party in their groups or who only stay for a couple of days in my experience..

Anywhere you've found particularly accessible for meeting people? Really I'm open to any suggestions!

Thanks
