I would like to know the best shopping streets in europe. I know Oxford-Street (along with regent st, bond, old-bond) area in London is one of the best. So here I need your help to know which are the more street/areas in Europe are best alternative of Oxford-Street.

I have plan to visit europe in few month in summer, so my preferences are in Frankfurt, Paris, Zurich, Lucern, Milan, Venice, Florance, and Rome. But if any other city have good area, I would be glad to know.

What is your specification for the best? Do you mean it has to have all the top brands, the medium brands, no brands, cheapest medium brands, easiest car access?

I like streets with no brand shopping, just classy single name shops in which case many Florence back streets are pretty good as is the main drag in Tarranto and of course Bordeaux city.

If you want high end, then via condotti in Rome. But, as bilboburgler said, it depends on your criteria.

Oxford Street = affordable high street shops
Bond Street = more high end designers
Via Condotti would be more like Bond Street. As would be Via della Spiga and Montenapoleone in Milan.

The Golden Triangle of Milan (Via Montenapoleone, Via Andrea, Via Gesù, Via Borgospesso and Via della Spiga) might be what you are looking for.

In Frankfurt, the "Zeil" is the major shopping street.

In Zurich, Bahnhofstr. between the central railway station and Bürkliplatz (lakefront), and adjacent streets are good for upscale shopping and department stores, the Niederdorf / Old Town neighborhood for more quirky shops.

Thanks for all response, I do not want to classify any thing for best, all I want any good street close city main attractions where we can have good experience for 3,4 hours for window shopping.

Champs Elysees in Paris, of course. I like the back streets for shopping in Prague and Vienna. They seem to have the "true" flavor of the culture. Fabulous shop in Vienna called Loden Plankl for true woolen clothes. LOVE this shop!!!

Don't know how good the shopping is, but we like to at least walk through the the Galeries St. Hubert in Brussels. Glass covered arcade near the Grand Place.

I would never call the Champs Elysées a great shopping street, unless you're buying automobiles. The rue Faubourg-St-Honoré maybe.

I agree with St.Cirq. Personally, I'd skip the Champs for shopping.

As for what I'm interpreting that you're looking for, then on the Right Bank, rue Faubourg-St.Honoré and surrounding streets and also the department stores of Galeries Layfayette and Printemps.

Also on the Right Bank, the Marais, has a lot of small, hip boutiques.

On the Left Bank, the small streets of the 6th and some of the 7th, plus Bon Marche department store in the 7th. And of course, there are lots of other shopping areas in Paris, but these three areas will keep you quite busy.
