Best price for France in April 2011?
Hi
We are flying to the south of France in April 2012 to see relatives (Marseille or Nice airport). Currently we can get round trips with 2 stops for slightly over $1000.
Will the rates get better, I am not sure when to pull the trigger.
Thanks a lot
Patrick

You posted the same questions on Lonely Planet. You do say $1,000 so we could assume the USA or it could be Canada or maybe Australia and I think it could also be New Zealand. As you can see here you could be coming from a lot of places: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollar

Hey patrick live also in the southeast
my wife and I just snagged our best deal
to paris in April as follows...
On AA.com we got 2 AAdvantage cards used them for a month
got 40000 miles each booked our Paris flights out of
DFW non stop free except for $50 tax each way...
Might look at doing that saves a lot but if not
aa.com usually best deals Delta United/CO usually more.
kayak.com/buzz cheapoair.com good screening sites for me
That is what worked for us... if you are looking for
a great central hotel we just snagged the Novotel
Les Halles on hotwire.com for $159 it is their "secret"
Louvre Vendome Hotel.
That is an awesome value for Paris where the average is $500
for a good central 4 star...
Happy Hunting!

farecompare.com has tips on when best to pull the trigger
Usually late Jan on Tuesday PM when bookings are dead
and EVERYTHING goes on sale...carriers match sales then
If I am a cash buyer I always wait till then for April

Corail is the regional train from Paris to sunfrance.com
always save flying into Paris... But ba.com sometimes deals
into NCE via LHR from ATL lots of surcharges though fuel
(bogus) and they charge for seats... so direct Paris
almost always cheaper better for me.

Lots of good tips in your several posts, I really appreciate it. We don't need a hotel in Paris but thxs anyway. I have noticed alredy aa being cheaper usually.
Randy
The $1000 rate was excatly $1049 from Atlanta to Charlotte if I remeber well then Frankfurt and finally Marseille.
I looked at a lot of stuff so I might be wrong but I know there were 2 stops.
Thanks again qwovadis
