Best Italian beach with teens

Jump to last reply

I am starting to plan a trip to Italy for next summer. We will be traveling with three teen boys. I know we can't see everything and we need to get the itinerary such that the boys will be engaged. I am tossing around the idea of spending a portion of the roughly two weeks we have on a Backroads bike trip in Tuscany. If we do that, we will also visit Venice and Rome for a couple days each which leaves us three or four days for a beach. I think we need to end the trip with some time at the beach. The question is, do we start in Venice, and end up at a beach in the South or do we start in Rome and end up at a beach in the North? Any thoughts or suggestions? In terms of beach destination, I guess we are looking for something with great restaurants nearby and activities for the boys to do. Italian beaches in summer would suggest that nowhere we choose will be economical so that is less of a concern that having a great ending to the trip.

Thank you for any suggestions you may have.
