Sixt was cheap and their young staff was very friendly. As an American that scraped the curb twice on day one of driving on the left side of the road no questions were asked upon checkout.

Ireland is stand alone car rental Laws,Rules,Regulations. It is not like renting at home unless at home is Ireland. Go to the people who give you keys Or to people who deal direct with only one company. Fox rent Dooley, either option works but phone Dooley on their toll free number to get the best deal. Hertz are on my personal 3 strike list but Conns Ireland car rental (formally easytoursireland) deal direct with Hertz without the Hurtz.

If you do go via an agency make sure you know what you are getting and how you stand at the collection desk in respect of Fuel policy any "Hold" on your Credit Card and most important what insurance is included.
