Best Beaches in Crotia

My son and I will spend three nights in Croatia in June, on our way from Vienna to Northern Italy (driving). I like to find the best beach for my son - sandy, clear, blue water. We can make day trips to islands for visiting historical places, but the main focus is for him to enjoy the beach ( he is 18 and has special needs). I have been reading that Brela has the best beach , but Trogier and Lopud also seem charming - I prefer smaller villages, preferably if we can rent a 4x4 motor bike to get around ( we did that in Santorini and it was great - he doesn't do bicycles or mopads, unfortunately). Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
