Berlin Philharmonic Tickets For Sold Out Events?

Hi, is there standing room? I'm thinking not. Are there tricks? I'm planning to call the box office tomorrow. I can't seem to find any information online.

Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Relatively few tickets are put on general sale as most go to subscribers. For a popular concert, esp featuring a famous guest artist or classical favourites, it sells out within 30 minutes of going on sale online.
It's possible that some tickets are returned to box office, so check the website about a week before. Also some are returned by subscribers unable to attend, which are then put on sale. Then on the day, a queue for standing places starts to form at the far right of the glass entrance to the Phiharmonic Hall from around 4-5 pm (ticket sale from an hour before concert), and it's possible that last-minute seat tickets returns may become available as well. Lastly, there are often a fair few people offering spare tickets for sale outside the hall.

Maybe the standing room policy has changed? I just called the Philharmonie box office and I was told that there are "podium seats" behind the orchestra that go on sale two days before the concert. They are only available at the box office. (I asked whether there's standing room.)

I wanted a ticket for next Sat. and she got confused and said there's one for this Sat. She charged my card and canceled the charge. So last minute tickets do become available. This one was for 70 euros. She said it's the only one left.

I'll try again next week.

Calling does help. I just bought one ticket over the phone for this Saturday's concert. There was nothing available yesterday. So it pays to keep checking.

Thanks!

Due to family bereavement I have two spare tickets for Berlin Philharmonic on 26th Feb. Simin Rattle conducting. Tickets in Cornwall. Any reasonable offer considered but buyer to collect.
