Berlin: museum pass, welcome card or something else?

Jump to last reply

DH and I will be in Berlin for 7 nights in June. It will be our first time there. All of the posts on which card/pass would be best are quite old so I thought it would be a good time to start a new one.

We will obviously want to visit at least 3, if not all the museums on Museum Island, and most likely some others so it seems like a museum pass would be good value. We are staying in Mitte and may be able to walk to many places, but will also be using the trains and buses. We are flying into Tegel and will take the bus from there to the city, and we plan on going to Potsdam, so a travel card may be a good idea as well. Perhaps a card that combines both?

I've been reading up on the different options but, quite frankly, it's just confusing me more. The Berlin Pass, at over $100.00 seems like overkill. Any suggestions?
