Bellagio Accomodations in October
I will be in Bellagio late October for 4 nights. Any accommodations you would recommend? We are open to anything. A view and balcony would be nice. I would like to stay around $200 or less/night if possible.
Thanks for your help.

I would inquire at the Hotel Florence. Their Superior rooms start at 185 euros, but they're currently offering 4 nights for the price of 3. Their Superior rooms have lake views, some with balcony, some with terrace.
A tip about any reservation you make for late October: You could get a confirmation but be alerted in early October that the property will be closing before your arrival date. They won't leave you high and dry but will recommend a couple of options that will be available for your dates. It's not meant to be poor customer relations; it's a business decision based on bookings and weather conditions. A lot of hotels (and some restaurants and shops) in Bellagio take their cue to close from the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. At this point, the GHVS is still taking reservations to Oct. 30th.

...would you stay there if it would rain 4 days without any interruption?
I wouldn't stay there for four days even in nice weather. I was ready to leave after 24 hours, and was thankful that a family commitment had forced me to cut our stay to three nights.
That was in June, though. I might like it better in October.

We've stayed in Bellagio and Varenna four times in late October. We've had great luck with weather, and I only remember one day when it rained off and on most of the day. Some restaurants and shops were not open every day, the ferries were on reduced schedules, and some hotels were closed. On one trip, we ended up staying in a hotel that wasn't our first choice, but it turned out great. No tourist crowds, mostly year-round residents. All in all, I myself wouldn't hesitate to go back at that time of year. Others might prefer more 'action.'
