Belgian beer and frites - YUM! Check out my trip report with loads of pictures from my brief trip to Bruges. We stayed at Hotel Cavalier, an inexpensive, well-located, delightful hotel, a short walk from Market Square. Enjoy!

Nice report and snaps!
Really nice report! We are planning this for the future

Thank you for reminding me that the best frites I ever had were purchased from a small stand in that main square. They were served with an incredible mayonnaise. Alas, never to be repeated.
Memories of our own Bruges sojourn...just relaxing for days after touring Holland, Belgium by boat. I remember the organ grinder guy and of course the canals, churches, etc. As for the fites, no mayo please! And you didn't mention chocolate, did you?. So you are Boston too?
Bill now in Boston (2 years)
Thanks everyone! Those were some darn good frites! And such good chocolate. I really want to go back there with my (new) husband, who just loves beer...and frites and chocolate too! And yes, Bill, I am in Boston. Have you tried Saus yet? http://www.eatfrites.com/
Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed the photos and trip report.
Will be in Bruges in September
