Beaune train station rental car return

Hello! I'm looking at renting a car in Paris (Hertz Latin Quarter - 50 Boulevard St Michel location; convenient to hotel) and returning it in Beaune before getting on a train. I'm having a hard time figuring out if there is easy transportation from the rental car return location (Avenue Charles de Gaulle) and the Beaune train station?

Does anyone have any experience getting between the rental car location and the train station? I'm having trouble finding information. Thanks for your help!

That's right near the convention center, I suppose that's why they have an office there. It's about 1 km from the train station. An easy walk if you aren't encumbered but if you are, I would imagine Hertz would call for a taxi for you.

I wouldn't count on a busline.

I walked from my hotel to the train station, a similar distance as that from Hertz, not an unreasonable distance unless you have lots of luggage. Failing that, it's a short taxi ride. Hertz, I'm sure, will call you a cab or maybe even take you to the train. In any case, it isn't far and I wouldn't worry about it.

Wy not drive to Dijon where you have to change trains anyway and turn it in there right at or near the train station? If have time nice drive thru numerous wine villages on the Route des vins de bourgogne.

Good idea, however, we'll be wrapping up a week long stay based in Beaune by the time we're ready to turn in the car. I suspect we'll have driven everywhere in the area by then. Additionally, we already have our train tickets booked.

I wish I were there now! The closer we get to our departure date, the harder it is to bear the wait!

Can you return the car the day before and get out of a day or half-day's rental - then just walk to the station or whatever?

That's a good idea! I haven't booked yet. That might be easier. Thanks for the idea!
