Meredith: Try www.karenbrown.com or better yet pick up or look at a copy of her book Karen Brown's Italy, Charming Inns and Itineraries. There are many suggestions ranging from very reasonable to very expensive in lots of cities and towns in Italy.

I agree with the above posting except get the B&B book not the Inn book which lists more expensive places (unless that is okay with you) We have booked 2 places from her B&B book and will be traveling there in June. When and where are you going?

Thanks for these replies. I will follow up with them.
We are going in August (hot).
We travel with a youth group (!!!!) from Milan, thru Venice, Florence, Siena, Pisa, Assisi, maybe something else, and then to Rome for 8 days (World Youth Day). THEN my family is staying aweek longer for OUR very quiet trip to the Liguerian coast (if I can find the right accomodations). THEN one night in Turin to see the Shroud. then home thru Milan.

Dear Meredith,
I'm the owner of a very special bed & breakfast. The name of it is :"Montorio" and it is situated a Montepulciano, Siena province, in the heart of Tuscany. Montorio is the perfect blend of art, nature, wine and food.
The web site is : www.island.pi.it/montorio

Thank you Stefania for your information on "Montorio". It is appealing. I will ask my daughters what they think. I believe they may have their hearts set on the Mediterranean, though.
