B&B A Le Boteghe or Villa Stella in Venice in May 2006

Hi! Need help to decide between the two:
1.B&B A Le Boteghe (http://www.aleboteghe.it/) which is a few minutes from Saint Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge for 100E in May 2006
2.Villa Stella (http://www.villastella.com) which is located on the Lido island, a short walk from the beach and the Congress Centre for 102E in May 2006 (as per Venere)

Am really confused and need ot book....please help.

You do not want the Lido !
Check out Hotel Galleria.

The Lido is a beach resort area. May is a little early for the Lido to be at its prime for warm sands and warm waters. It is nothing like historic Venice.

Stay in historic Venice.

I have been to Venice many times, but I have never stayed at A L Boteghe, but based on tripadvisor, I had planned to use them in late March for a trip we had to cancel. They were very prompt and helpful in our booking correspondence. Let me know how you like it, if you stay there; I would like to stay there this summer.
