Bath Hotel - MacDonald Bath Spa or Francis Hotel

Jump to last reply

Our family (four adults, one teen boy and two ten year old girls), will be visiting Bath in June for 3 nights as part of a two-week England vacation. Children are very experienced travelers.
We’re arriving by train and would like to stay in a quality (4 star) hotel with historic Bath charm and a nice restaurant/lounge (rather than a B & B)...
We have narrowed our choice to either:
- The MacDonald Bath Spa Hotel
or
- The Francis Hotel
Have read the reviews, but having trouble deciding if the amenities (pool for children after sightseeing, etc) would outweigh the strong appeal of being located in the city center near sights & restaurants - Which hotel would be the better overall experience? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...
