Barnsdale Country Club
We were scheduled to stay at Walton Hall through RCI. We just received a call telling us that it was sold and they can move us to Barnsdale Country Club, about 40 miles north. I have seen some comments on Barnesdale Hotel, but don't know if this is the same place. I need to call them right back so I hope someone has some fast information ! Thank you !

Assuming you mean Barnsdale Country Club in Rutland ? (which also sometimes goes by the name Barnsdale Hall Hotel).
If so then there is also a Barnsdale Lodge Hotel nearby as well.
It is a common thing to mistake the two as the names can be confusing. They are two seperate places, with half a mile of each other.

Sorry, I did mean England. My son is getting married this week-end, plus the RCI called...I'm a little rattled right now ! It is The Barnesdale Country Club in Rutland. Is it a good choice?

My wife and I stayed at the Barnsdale Country Club at Rutland two years ago, with a RCI exchange. We had an enjoyable week and used this central location to visit much of England from Cambridge to York. Local stone twons were also beautiful. We stayed in a lodge. The lodges are very private, quiet, modern, comfortable and spacious. There is a central building with restaurant, swimming pool etc. but we didn't use the facilities. Walton Hall looks nicer than Barnsdale in the photos, but I would take the Barnsale offer.

I've stayed at both and don't worry about being moved.
Walton Hall would have been great for the Cotswolds, Warwick and Stratford. Too bad about the sale.
Barnsdale is on Rutland Water and most of the accomodations are in stand alone cottages in the grounds. (I'm using the word "cottage" in the US usage - not the British version. These are more what Brits would call chalets)
There is a lot to see in the area - open air Shakespeare in Stamford, Oakham, Burghley House, Rockingham Castle, lots of water sports on the lake, Belvoir Castle, etc.
And w/ longer drives, Cambridge/Peterborough/Kings Lynn. And it is no too far for day trips to Royal Leamington Spa/Warwick/Stratford
