Barcelona_name of company selling converter and adaptors usa?
Our large adapter and converter plug we brought with us from usa only charges for 3-5 seconds then stops. Tried different cords and different devices and different flat pronged usa chargers. Gitta be the converter adapter. HELP need to buy one and have no phone or laptop with any juice.
Where in Barcelona. Name of any company? Many thanks!

Are you at a hotel? Ask the font desk. Problem solved.
Are you renting an apartment? Any tourist trap souvenir shop should have what you are looking for or be able to point you where to go.
For the record, your notebook power brick should be dual voltage so all you need is a plug converter. Any souvenir shop worth its salt will have these. And they should also have USB wall chargers.
There's a CEX at Carrer de Floridablanca 148, 08011 Barcelona that sells used computers and phones so they should have what you are looking for.
If worst comes to worst, the Apple shop will hook you up but you're gonna pay Apple prices.

"For the record, your notebook power brick should be dual voltage so all you need is a plug converter." I know what sparkchaser is trying to say, but he/she used the wrong term. What you need is not a converter but simply a plug adaptor. And yes, if you are staying at a hotel, they will have these for you to borrow.

If your hotel doesn't have one to give you, which wouldn't surprise me, you could try the FNAC store right on placa Catalunya (in that little triangle shopping mall). Or even El Corte Ingles on the other side of the plaza, they have a lot of stuff in their basement that you wouldn't expect (toiletries, souvenirs, etc), it's not just fashion or high end stuff like in a dept store. They also have some stuff on the ground floor in a souvenir section where they might have traveler stuff.
PC Green is an electronics/computer store that has a lot of stuff -- a couple blocks from Universitat metro stop at 178, carrer de Supulveda. There is another electronics/computer store right across the street from it, also (Modular something).

>>> large adapter and converter plug
It is ONE heavy pricey unit, isn't it?
For your application, what you needed was $1.00 item that looked like this: https://store.ricksteves.com/shop/p/...-power-adapter
What you have, the converter, is more complicated (and unnecessary in your case) device that can malfunction. The $1.00 adapter is a simple item that only way it malfunctions is if you physically smash it.
Hotels frequented by U.S. tourists would have a box full of these left by guests who forgot to take them.
