Barcelona travel help and itinerary

Hi there everyone, I'm a 20 year old Australian male, I'm planning on travelling to Spain, Barcelona, next year. (2017)
I plan on going for 30 days and will have 5000 Euros ($7500 AUD) spending money after flights and hotels, i want to go when the weather is warm enough to go to the beach but not be to hot to be able to walk around all day and do things, does anyone have any suggestions on a good month to visit? While I'm there I'm going to travel by public transport. I would also like to go to Museums/Landmarks/Zoos Etc, so if anyone would have any suggestions on places i could go would be a big help. If i think of any other questions ill comment below, Thanks in advance, John. :)
