Barcelona to Rome in 2 weeks

Jump to last reply

Hey so me and my boyfriend are going to Europe for 2 weeks at the beginning of June (13 nights). We bought our plane tickets to fly into Barcelona and to fly out of Rome. We have planned to spend at least 4 days in each of those cities, giving us 5 days to travel from Barcelona over to Rome. Neither of us has ever been to Europe before and we are trying to figure out what to do for those 5 in between days. We are both in our twenties and looking to have a fun, not too stressful time. I like museums and history, and walking around towns and just browsing shops and cafes I guess. So somewhere in between touristy stuff and relaxing stuff if that makes sense. Here are two options that I am trying to figure out which would be best:

1. Staying in each Barcelona and Rome longer than the 4 days and flying to get between them.

2. Staying in each Barcelona and Rome for 4 days and taking trains to get between them. Staying somewhere in S. France along the way. But where to stay?

Also, I would really LOVE to go to Florence, but not if it is just going to be a rushed thing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
