barcelona to paris and in between

need help first time to spain / france looking to fly into barcelona spend 4 days then up coast ( not sure how yet ) to costa brava area 2 days , then ( again not sure how) to Dordognne region of france 3-4v days then to Lyon area 3 days then to paris 7 days. I am hoping the train would work throughout france. Not too comfortable driving ( heard gas expensive, auto trans cars expensive, traffic tough) any thoughts I am a young 60 year old female with my fiance he's 55 he speaks both spainsh and french we are from us and want to see and do as much as we can any ideas, suggestions etc are more than welcome and thank you
