Barcelona: Need a rental apartment for 2 couples 4 nights in September 16

We will be in Barcelona for 4 nights in September 2016 with another couple. Looking for a nice two bed, 2 bath apartment to rent that is legal and permitted. We want to be in downtown area so we can explore before leaving on a cruise. Any tips appreciated.

I've used Habitat apts, they were okay. I think they post on their website the license permit number.

The Tourism LIcense number is listed in the middle under the photo that says Location, in the listings after you do a search

We stayed in this apartment last year and it was very comfortable and in a great location on Rambla Catalunya.

The BCN website also lists the Tourism licence number for each apartment. Their office is in the building next door, so very easy to deal with any issues (though we had none).

Go to apartur.com - Barcelona has a highly regulated tourist apartment industry and a ton of offerings.

Get a street map with the metro stations and know where you'll be - in or near the box formed by the Passeig de Gracia, Placa Catalunya/Universitat, Verdaguer and Diagonal stations will put you close to a LOT and within a short metro ride of more.

Or stay in the vibrant and medieval Born/Ribera district, close to "everything" and a cradle of Catalan identity and culture. http://www.oh-barcelona.com/en/barce...artments/born/

We were very happy with the apartment we rented through likelivingthere.com

The apartment block in El Born that we stayed in was very convenient, well furnished and perfectly clean. There is an on-site manager who handles everything in a friendly and efficient manner.
