The Majestic has one of the most prestigious addresses in Barcelona. The avenue is wide and busy, but I would hardly consider it noisy. Whoever wrote the item on Fodor's hasn't spent much time at the Majestic, if any.
The Paseo de Gracia is Barcelona's main street for upscale shopping, like being on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, only the avenue is wider and shops more accessible
I agree with Robert. The Majestic is a top hotel in Barcelona with an upscale location.
The Majestic is a really good choice. Very nice area. Don't think the noise is that much
of a problem.
