barcelona dali museum and house day trip

hi all , Is it possible to get a cab at Fiqueres to the Dali house
and we can do this trip ourselves. I also heard there was a bus.
I do realize I also have to time it right as the house has timed tickets.
what do the experts suggest.

Thanks

Yes, there is a bus between Figueres and Cadaques, the trip takes about 1 hour.

Hunter:
There was and probably still is a restriction on the number of guests that could tour the Dali house..only eight at a time, and if I recall it was for one hour time slots. We stayed at a Cadaques hotel and they arranged for our visit the day before and we were the last ones in for that particular day. We were driving.(It is a short drive or cab ride from Central Cadques to Pt. Ligat)

Here are some Barcelona, Girona and Cadaques pics to familiarize you with the surroundings, just in case you haven't visited the area before...(posted below)

We're going to hopefully do the Museo and the Dali home at least in November. We're going to spend two nights in Girona, renting a car in Barcelona. I'm hoping this will be enough time to see Girona and enjoy the Dali sites. One of the links I'm using is this one:

way too far for a taxi from Figueres to Cadaques. Absolutely book your reservations to tour the house in advance, otherwise you probably won't get in. You can do it online -- i can't remember the site, but googling will reveal it for you.

I can recommend Hotel Playa del Sol in Cadaques on the bay. Get room with balcony overlooking the town and the waterfront. They will happily make a reservation for you at the Dali House, or to be sure, make one before you leave home. Try Casa Anita for dinner, family style and good fun. Excellent menu.(Playa del Sol is featured in my pix above) The road from Figueres to Cadaques is curvy, but not as bad as some people have stated, in my opinion. Just take it slow and keep your cool.
