Fine, and you?
Seriously, if you go the box above "Search he Forums" and type Barcleona in there, you will find long discussions about the city. Then you can come back and and tell the board you budget, interests, and have much time you have.
Maybe what I meant to say was...we are trying to decide whether or not to go to Barcelona. Would you recommend Barcelona? What did you like? What didn't you like?
I think Aduchamps' suggestion still holds. You will find more threads and comments than you have time to read.
Of course Barcelona is recommendable! (Unless you don't like large cosmopolitan cities )
By using the search box you will see many, many, many threads and posts about Barcelona. Only a fraction of the people who have ever written reports about Barcelona will ever see THIS thread as many have reported about their travels then moved on to other subjects.
I'm headed to Barcelona for the first time next summer and I have to say that even with the notoriety for pickpockets the city gets rave reviews from nearly all fodorites who have traveled there.
Thank you amwosu.
Yep, rave review from this fodorite. Loved it! Food=amazing, people=warm and welcoming, sites=beautiful, unique, interesting (esp Gaudi & Barri Gòtic). Loved the Boqueria food hall, wandering the small medieval streets, concert at the Palau de la Musica Catalana, Sara Baras flamenco ballet at the opera house, the beach etc. Highly recommend.
ditto !
Barcelona is one of those world cities that are not to be missed. See maribel's guides for lots of information about the city. I also have a four page potted guide to the main sights and restaurants I like. Let me know if you'd like it e-mailed to you.
For me Barcelona is just okay for a destination in Spain. I prefer Pais Vasco and Andalucia. For a European or world destination it is right up there in the top 10 cities though.
I have been to Barcelona twice. Loved the general atmosphere in the city. Great food. You might be interested in my trip report:

There is a wealth of information about Barcelona at www.maribelsguides.com.
Some say Barcelona is the most sophisticated city in Europe. Not sure I'd agree but in many ways it is our favorite. Less smug than Paris, BCN has all the attractions one could want - museums, architecture, history - and a beach! And we've found the people to be fun-loving and open, although Americans still are regarded with some skepticism. To get the most from a visit it's important to embrace the local culture.
