Banned from BiddingForTravel ?!
Hello there,
After reading quite some posts about getting Priceline bidding strategies by using the www.biddingfortravel.com board, I did use it yesterday. And with success.
However, when I was trying to enter the site again today, I got a message that I was banned from this board, and I have absolutely no idea why! They tell me to contact the administrator, but if only I knew how!
Could someone who's registered at this site please help me by contacting an administrator and asking what I did wrong? I believe there's one who answered to my post (look under Hotels-England-London for a recent post by stardust79), but I forgot her name.
Thanks a lot!
(accidently posted this on the USA forum first. not that that would be wrong, but people might know me better over here

There is an alternative site: http://www.betterbidding.com/
It has a much clearer, ad-free interface and a vastly friendlier sysadmin and users who are more like the community here at Fodors.
It also has a map-based interface for some cities (with more being added) so that you can see where bids have won. Really nice.
I suggest you check it out, and especially read the thread called "Add me to the TOBB *banned* list" under the "Run of the House" forum.
I only go to biddingfortravel when I can't find the info I want at betterbidding - which is rare. If you have been banned, you have a lot of company; if you haven't you may still find betterbidding a better site.

The biddingfortravel site has problems at times and bans people for no reason. Try opening another browser or check the sight again in a day or two.
derekflint - The betterbidding sysadmin does post here on Fodor's.

I had the same issue. I used to like Bidding For Travel but they had an Attitude if you didn't follow EXACTLY what they wanted. A Better alternative is www.betterbidding.com which was created from disgruntled BFT folks. I have used them a lot and they are patient and post lists of winning bids too.
