I've just returned from London this morning. I'd like to thank so many of the posters on this sight who's advice was so reliable and added tremendously to the fabulous experience I've just had.

My favorite experiences were:

Lunch at the Pump Room in Bath - excellent food, lovely surroundings, reasonable prices.

The Along the Thames Pub Walk given by London Walks. I wish I had had time for more of their tours. They are outstanding for the price. www.walks.com

Catholic Mass at the beautiful Brompton Oratory fully sung in Latin by a magnificent choir. There's an outstanding French patissiere/cafe across the street and half a block down (if you're in front of the Oratory, face the street and it's to your left). Highly recommend stopping there for breakfast or a treat when visiting the Oratory.

Tea at Brown's hotel. Yes, it was a little touristy, but it was luxurious and I loved it.

Performance of Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre.

The sunken garden at Kensington Palace. You do not have to pay the Palace admission price to see the garden.

One note of advice - there are major repairs underway on the dome of St. Pauls. You can only climb up as far as the Stone Gallery, which does give you an exterior view. The Golden Gallery at the top is closed until sometime in June (estimated). The Whispering Gallery is open.

I hope I will get to go back. One week was not enough for me.
