B. Fordor's Clinic Favorite Travel Videos?

It's a rainy day here and the patients are getting bored. They would love to go somewhere, but they have to complete their step program before discharge. I thought you guys could come up with the best travel videos, foriegn films, etc. of your vast and broad experience. This might really help to motivate these poor addicts as they search for a cure.
God Bless, Betty

If you include more than just Europe, "The Last Emperor" is wonderful for China.

Going back many years here, but I loved Breaker Morant (sp?), which is Australian.

Try Much Ado About Nothing, with Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson. It's set in a Tuscan villa and it's gorgeous and funny.

"Cinema Paradiso" by a film director with an obvious, deep seated love of cinema and Italy and its citizens.

"Gold of Naples" a da Sica film with a young lubricious Sophia Loren.

"Waking Ned Devine" for sheer Irish lunatic humor

"Genevieve" with Kenneth More, Kay Kendall and a flock of antique automobiles in a leisurely road race through the English countryside.

Oh, my, so many..
I'd add "Charade" for a ravishing Paris; the last 45 minutes or so from "The Great Escape" (Steve on bike - great!); "Chariots of Fire" and (a big fave) "Local Hero."

I give one more vote for Johnny Stechino (spelling?)! I'm going to Italy with two teens and thought that anything Roberto Benigni would be good! Wow, what a surprise, this picture is hilarious, even with the sub titles! The teens loved it, now we must find it, to own it!
Life is beautiful is good too, but too sad...What other movies has this guy made...why didn't we hear from him sooner?
Any other movies set in Paris out there? I've done Frantic already.
Thanks
Kay
