B & B type lodging in Salzburg
Any recommendations for bed and breakfast type lodging in Salzburg? We are looking for something mid price range that will be close to public transportation (since we will not have a car).Something that feels cozy and serves breakfast would be nice. I've seen lots of recommendations for www.blobergerhof.at but every site I've looked at shows they are full. Something like this would be ideal. Any suggestions? Thank you!

isinginmyjeep,
We just got back from Salzburg, and our 2nd stay at Haus Steiner. It is about a 3 minute walk from Blobergerhof, also on Moosstrasse. This street is a great location and has quite a few B&B's. Very idyllic horsey country, with good public transportation.
We like Haus Steiner very much. The reviews on TripAdvisor are accurate. The views from the rooms are spectacular (ask for a room facing the back of the house). There are 3 or 4 restaurants within a 3 minute walk from the B&B. We ate locally every night we were there. We were there for 5 nights last year and this year as well. Enjoy!

I stayed in Haus Reichl in 2009. Its the last house in that lane. Franzesca is a lovely host. Then, she had two rooms to rent, one with sunset & mountains view & one with sunrise view. The latter, I believe, is a bigger one with nicer interiors. The sunrise view during Easter was to die for sure.
Distance: its just off the Moosstrasse/road/bus stop - roughly 300 mtrs, maybe less. Also, its not walkable from the city. We walked to the Schloss Leopoldskron though - was probably 3 kms.

Three words - Haus am moos. We just returned from 4 nights there and it was fabulous. Clean rooms, beautiful surroundings, very close to bus stop. We also used public transportation the whole time. Get the Salzburg card and all your bus rides are included. Walter and Gudrun are amazing hosts and will help you with anything you need. You won't be disappointed!
