B and B's in south of france
Just heading back to Europe and will be spending a 3-4 days in the south of france. (Menton, Nice, Monaco, and area) Just wondering if anyone had any places they liked in the area and hopefully not too expensive to stay.

This is the kind of search that I often think a person can only do for one's own self...
I don't have a specific place in mind to recommend to you (I know an okay Logis de France near Grasse, but it is not a B&B).
But there are countless listings on www.gites-de-france.com - - choosing Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur will take you to http://www.gites-de-france-alpes-maritimes.com - - and that seems to be all in French, but not too hard to follow...
Here's a nice example between Antibes and Juan-les_pins, for example.. not ON the beach, though they say it's just 200 m away.

It's 105 euro. You really should define what you mean by "hopefully not too expensive" to get more specific advice from others.
Best wishes,
Rex

Bringing your message back up "to the top" since you are new here - - how do I know that? click on your own name - - it's a valuable tip that Fodors fails to give you when they send you that initial e-mail confirming your registration.

Another good source is http://www.guidesdecharme.com/?lang=EN
Do a search by destination (Provence, Alpes, Côte d'Azur). The pink dots on the map are B&B's, the green ones are hotels.

Thanks for replying. Around 100 Euros would be great and B and B's aren't a big deal, just somewhere in the area that's relatively easy to get to with a car and a little out of the way in regards to the big cities.

Also, we are coming down to the south of france from Switzerland through the St Bernard pass and planning on spending the night in the area of Aosta, Lillaz or Cogne in Italy. Anyone have a must see story of the area.

Just back from the S of France. Stayed one night at a wonderful B&B for only 65E. Abridupoete is the name & the couple is charming.
www.provenceweb.fr/83/abridupoete
It is just south of the A8 between Brignoles & Le Luc in a tiny town called Besse sur Isole.
If you go there tell them the cousins from America sent you.
