Aug 5 Launch for Umpteenth European Tour!

Jump to last reply

Excitement gathers for my upcoming trip to Europe - departing Aug 5th and staying for a whole month - landing on my feet I hope in Amsterdam, always the 'ghigh' point of my trip - then going straight away to Paris (Thalys ticket 29 euros!) then to my French home - Saran, a blah blah suburb of Orleans.

Then doing a veritable Tour de France with my son and his mama - largely in train but sometimes in car. First a few days in gay Paree by myself - commuting like many locals from Orleans.

Then driving thru Loire Valley to the seaside - St Gilles Croix de Vie - a hobbing in summer seaside resort in the Vendee - too many day there but...

then onto the Massif Central to a flat my ex-wife just bought - near Mont Dore - Bouillabaise or something that seems like some kind of soup!

Then over to Lyon to visit more relatives who are old friends as well.

And down into the Auverge for more relatives - then to Nice for a few days - want to do the fantastic Cap d'Ail to Monaco walk once again!

Then back to Orelans and more days in Paris.

Then back to Amsterdam to prepare for my flight home to Deeeeeetroit.

Au revoir!
