ATM's in Lauterbrunnen???

I've been reading the posts about changing money and have learned (hopefully) the following...

Do not exchange money before leaving (except maybe a bit to start)

Do not exchange money at the airport upon arrival.

So I leave home, fly to Zurich, take a train to Lauterbrunnen, not being able to get money along the way, and than what? Is there an ATM at the train station? Anyone know where ATM machines are in Lauterbrunnen? Are they easy to find?

kwren, we just returned from Lauterbrunnen in May and found an ATM at a bank that's about halfway between the train station and the Oberland Hotel where we stayed. It's outside so you don't have to worry about it only be accessible during certain hours. I don't know if there is an ATM at the train station itself because we were never at the station.

Yes, but...
>Do not exchange money before leaving (except maybe a bit to start)
Make sense.

>Do not exchange money at the airport upon arrival.
Corretion: do not exchange money AT EXCHANGE BOOTH at the airport upon arrival. Only that I don't think there are still such things. There are several bank branches in the Zürich airport, each with it's own ATM's. Which are exactly like the ATM's of the same banks anywhere else in the country.

>So I leave home, fly to Zurich...

(withdraw money from e.g Credit Suisse ATM in the airport...)

>Is there an ATM at the train station? Anyone know where ATM machines are in Lauterbrunnen? Are they easy to find?

There is a Berner Kantonalbank with ATM's along the main street, I think their logo is visible from the station exit.
There are simply no villages around here without a local Kantonalbank and Postfinance branches, each with own ATMs. But the Post ATM's can be somewhat picky with foreign cards.
