atm's in ireland
I read that using ATM's for euros in Ireland is the way to go. We will be staying Adare, visiting small towns in the south. Are ATM's available in small towns as well as large cities?

Most small towns have an ATM but I would prefer to use ATM in a larger place to have enough money for a few days. Reason is that in a larger place if one ATM has run out of cash, you'll be able to find an other ATM near by. In a smaller town, if ATM has run out of money, often there is no other ATM around. As there is only the one ATM available, it runs out of money quicker than city ATM. And often ATM in smaller places is a sole ATM, not attached in an actual bank, a bank may not even exist in the same town. So more time is needed for bank to be notified and to come feed ATM with money lol

There are a couple of ATM's in Adare, you will find the one in Centra easiest and most likely to have cash when the tourists have been at the one in the Bank.
For Shannon Airport the one round by the check in Desks next to the Cash conversation booth (DO NOT USE) will be more likely to have small (€20)notes/bills the one outside the arrivals door usually has €50's or is empty.
