Arriving September 6 at the Athens Ledra Marriott hotel for two nights. Can anyone recommend a good tour group/company to use? We are hoping to see as many sights as possible. Thank you for any and all advice.

Fantasy Travel and Dolphin-Hellas Travel are both in Athens and both have websites. They're the two most often recommended agencies in Athens.
When we stayed at the Ledra Marriott the concierge was excellent and took care of many requests for us.. If you don't book ahead with one of brotherleelove's suggestions, I assume they can help you at the hotel.

Since much of the area around Plaka and the Acropolis is pedestrianised, you may want to consider http://www.athenswalkingtours.gr/.
You could try Nikos at privategreecetours. We used him for our stay in Athens. Excellent service, great tour. We were very pleased with him.
