Also, what kind of place do you like? Fancy, upscale hotel? Clean agroturismo? How much do you want to spend???

We stayed last June at Baur B&B (www.baurbb.com) in Acqui Terme which is near all the places that you mentioned. It is a great place with incredible hosts, wonderful breakfasts and very comfortable rooms and beds. We also really enjoyed the town of Acqui Terme which was our home base for 5 nights.

All the restaurants our hosts, Diana and Mischa recommended were wonderful but our favorite was Da Fausto in a small town called Cavatore.

We stayed at two wonderful gemd last Sept.

Check out La Contea in Neive and also Villa Tiboldi in aCnale. Both are near these areas. In fact, they were so fabulous that we have booked again for Sept. '07. Food, wine and rooms were wonderful at both.
