Aspaki Suites/Art Maison/Endless Blue

Just a quick message upon our return from Greece and Turkey. We stayed in the Grande Bretagne in Athens, the Blue Palace in Crete, The Dersaadet Hotel in Istanbul and the best of the best- the Endless Blue suite at Art Maison in Oia, Santorini. My husband and I are in our late 40's and have been traveling throughout the world for many years, generally staying in excellent hotels(at least in our opinion) and have never had the experience of a hotel room literally taking your breath away. We were met by the extremely charming Nikola(also known as Nikolas)who took our bags to our room and oriented us to the property. He is the kind of person that you like immediatly and actually look forward to seeing each day when he stops by to check on your happiness. Our suite was phenomenally beautiful and we spent much of each day staring off of the large clifftop balcony into the stunning caldera below. There is ample built-in seating, 2 chaise lounges and a cooling hot tub for the warm afternoons. The little blue house as we came to call "Endless Blue" is certainly not the most luxurious accomodation(although extremely well decorated and appointed) but it's charm and views will absolutely transport you. We bought food at the local grocery store and made lunches in our seaview kitchen which we then laid out on the table on the balcony. An afternoon of sipping wine, reading and congratulating ourselves was how we spent our days. The whole experience was heaven on earth and Endless Blue is the only hotel where we have been committed to returning. We met Georgia, the professional and charming manager of Art Maison on our last eveing and she let us tour two of the villas in the Castle. Both suites were very beautiful and luxurious but in our opinion, couldn't compare to Endless Blue. I can see how some would appreciate the gold fixtures and ornate decorating scheme but we would choose the Aspaki Suites first. The Castle suites are in direct view of the sunset and are in the thick of a heavily touristed area which some may prefer. Just up the street was Aspaki and we loved being a bit away from the crowds and truly in another world. All of my life, I will remember the feeling that I had in Endless Blue, staring out at the beautiful sea. Threehearts

I'm so glad to hear wonderful things about these suites. We will be staying in the Romeo and Juliet suite in about 3 weeks. I have only seen reports from people that have stayed in the Endless Blue and would love to hear comments on the other rooms. Glad to hear you had a positive experience.

I have been recommending the Aspaki Suites for over a year now, and I'm glad to see that others have discovered them for the fantastic accomodations they are. I hope to tour the Oia Castle next year. The photos look wonderful.

Hi mileaday,

Your suite was very charming as I saw on the tour that Nikola took us on of the other suites. I'm sure that you will be very happy with your choice. If I can remember any details about your accomodation, I will post back. Threehearts

Brotherleelove- I must give you all of the credit for our choosing Aspaki Suites. Your rave reviews played an important role in our staying in Endless Blue and in what ended up being the best of journeys. Thank you.
