Thanks to each of you for your kind words and compliments. I appreciate it!
Some background:
As an architect, rendering has been one of my professional skills while sketching and painting travel scenes has been an avocation. On our trips, I’m always in search of a subject and composition. I try to avoid the obvious and when I find what I want, I’ll take photos, plan it and plot it – then the painting is done at home in my studio.
Just recently, at the urging of friends and family, I decided to create a website and to market giclée prints of my originals from it. I’ve just begun with these two ‘albums’; hopefully there’ll be more to come i.e., England and Germany, et al.
If you wish to reach me, my email is there on my Profile and there’ll be a special discount for Fodorites LOL!

Tuck, these are very nice! there's a quiet dignity about your 'hand'. Did you get a chance to go thru the Camargue as well? St. Trophime [actually anything Arles would be brilliant! actually when I first saw the thumbnail of St-Paul-de-Mausole I immediately thought of the cloisters @ St Troph!] les Baux, Les Stes Maries de la Mer, Beaucaire & its old castle in the middle of town - the Camargue is truly amazing... these watercolors make me want to dash to the airfrance site to find some specials to go back!

You're quite talented!!!! I just found this thread today. I couldn't get the link to work on the e-mail you sent me. These are all very familiar places, and you captured them beautifully.

Tuck, your art work is absolutely beautiful! I will be in Provence in June and can't wait to see some of these places for myself. I also loved the Tuscany pictures, too. They are all simply wonderful.

Congrats Tuck! I missed this and Tuscany the first time around so glad you topped it. Very nice work.
Since you are doing giclées, you know how nicely watercolors translate onto inkjet. Printed onto watercolor paper, the giclée looks almost like the original.
Do you carry on your paints or check them? Where to next for you?

Really beautiful !
I like that the 'subjects' are so artistically composed and the painting seems so simply done, though I now is anything but. The simple layering of texture in the sky, the fine dotted detail in the flowers around the urn, the almost 'dessinage' style of depiction of the few people and animals in the collection.
Very well done.
