Are we crazy? Can we make it from Cotswolds to Iverness in one day?

Jump to last reply

My siblings and I are planning a trip to England and Scotland in April. Our current itinerary has us doing one long hard day of travel up the west side of England from the Cotswolds to Iverness (stopping for something to eat at the Lake District) so we can wind our way back down the east side of Scotland/England at a more leisurely pace.

We would be doing this one long day of travel on a weekday (Tuesday).

Here in the states the distance would be very doable. But, I know nothing about what it will be like there. We will be renting a car - getting on the Expressway from the Cotswolds and staying on it until we reach Iverness (we may settle for Edinburgh).

For those of you in the know, is this realistic? What should we expect? Any recommendations? Thank you!
