Are Ronda and Nerja in Espana worth viisting?

I'm planning on heading out to Andalucia with friends this spring, and I was wondering if I should include Ronda and Nerja in our itinerary. Would any of you say that these 2 places are better than Sevilla?

By all means visit Ronda and Nerja as both are very unique and have visited both of them several times, especially Ronda. They of course are totally different from Seville, Granada and those large cities, And if you are in to caves, of course Nerja has it's famous cave and for a mountain area, Ronda is very special. Have a good time.

I was in Ronda in 1996 and really enjoyed the beauty of the area. I hiked down the side of the mountain area and enjoyed the peacefulness of the area enjoying the famous bridge. The people are extremely friendly and Ronda is a relaxing place. Can't help you with Nerja, but I bet it's another wonderful place in Spain!

Both cities are worth the visit, specially to truly get a feel for life in the countryside of Southern spain (Andalucia). There are a number of "not to miss" spots in Andalucia that could be combined in day trips. Do not miss Granada (La Alhambra), Seville, Gibraltar, Ronda, trip to the Pueblos Blancos (White Towns). If you can squezze it, drive to algeciras and buy a tour ticket for a day trip to Tangier (different!; DO NOT go by yourselves!). Spain is absolutely wonderful!
Ronda is definately worth a day trip from Sevilla. It's roughly 1.5 hours by car. Ronda is a very beautiful small town built on the edge of a cliff. It also boast one of the oldest bull fighting rings in Spain. In my opinion, Ronda is a must see. I would suggest that you stay in Sevilla though, it's larger and offers more in terms of sleeping and eating choices. It's also a very beautiful town.
Went to Ronda two years ago for a day. Didn't enojoy the trip through the mountains but were happy we did it as the town was absolutely breathtaking. Loved Spain.

My wife and I just returned on 7-29-98 from a very enjoyable trip to Spain . We visited Sevilla, Ronda, and Nerja among several other places. we loved Sevilla the best and recommend it first and foremost. We enjoyed the other two places but to a lesser extent. Nerja was fun and relaxing with great views from the well done Balcon de Europa prominade. The food and shops are of good value and of good quality. The beaches are just so so and as many Costa del sol beaches are, they are more rocky than many U.S. beaches. We stayed at the Hotel Balcon de Europa and liked it very much. It is in a great location and is resonably priced. The Cave of Nerja was over rated and not as good as the St. Michael's Cave in Gibraltor. Ronda was nice and the location is very interesting. Driving in the mountains is fun if you like that kind of thing. The resturants were of good value too. (Believe it or not the food in Spain is expensive).
We would rate Sevilla the best and then Nerja, and Ronda. Feel free to Email me if you have any other questions at [email protected].
