I know that Ringo Starr said he did not miss Liverpool on the Jonathan Ross show a few years ago. I also heard that the head of a plant statue of Ringo was chopped off at a Liverpool train station. Are scousers are still angry at Ringo for saying that?
I met a couple of people from Liverpool in the past and they both don't like Ringo Starr that much. Do most Scousers dislike Ringo?
I only want people from Liverpool to answer on this post. I don't mean to offend people from other parts of the UK.

I have no idea, but in any city with a large population and a strong self-image, there will be people who can get angry about anything. But I should think most Liverpudlians have got plenty of more serious things to be angry about.

I am not from Liverpool but I do have a Beatles record and I I think the people of Liverpool do not give a f... about what Ringo Starr thinks.

They are not as angry with Ringo Starr as they are with West Yorkshire police.

Correct Caroline. The one who has just resigned (with full pension of course) had moved to West Yorkshire, and that is what stuck in my cold ridden brain this morning.

Well, I wasn't totally sure as I'm not up to date with the latest developments from here in Italy - entirely possible W. Yorks police may have been called in to conduct an enquiry & covered stuff up!
Vandals don't need a reason. At any rate, the good people of Liverpool have more important things to worry about.
