According to this link (http://www.jadrolinija.hr/pdfs/COASTAL%20LINES%202012%20.pdf) from the Jadrolinija schedule site (http://www.jadrolinija.hr/default.aspx?lang=2), there are only car ferries to/from Split to Hvar/Korcula on Tuesdays and Saturdays during high season. However, my friend was there last July and said there were car ferries to Hvar every day. In fact, they took the car ferry to/from Split to Hvar and only stayed one night in Hvar.
Did something change or is the website wrong? She thinks this is the ferry company they used and based on my research it's the largest (and maybe only) car ferry operator going to and from Hvar. If it really only leaves Tues & Sat, I have some rearranging to do!!!
Thanks!
PS: If those schedules are correct, the Coastal Line Prices (http://www.jadrolinija.hr/pdfs/EUR%20-%20engl.DUZ.%202012%20%20SEASON.pdf) and Local Line Prices in HRK (http://www.jadrolinija.hr/pdfs/stcijene.pdf) seem waaaay too different. Any ideas???
Are Jadrolinija Car Ferry Schedules to/from Split to Hvar accurate?

So...this website's schedule is different from the offical Jadrolinija site's info (maybe it's for a different carrier? it doesn't specify in the document, but lists their contact info at the bottom). http://www.hvarinfo.com/hvar-ferries/
Ferry Stari Grad - Split - Stari Grad
The length of crossing 120 minutes, this ferryboat takes cars.
Out of season departures : 3-4 times a day.
In season departures: 5-7 times a day.
Ferryboat timetable (high season)
It is likely Jadrolinija, though, given that they are the main carriers and he prices in kuna match Jarolinija's prices in Euros (318 HRK is about 51 euros). I just wonder why the schedule of 5-7 departures PER DAY is so different from the official website's schedule of 2 departures PER WEEK?!
Anyone able to help here? I've been told to just arrive in Split and figure out ferries and lodging there. We will arrive on a Tuesday afternoon...which means we'd be stuck until Saturday if there really isn't another car ferry until then.
Another idea is to stay in Split and just day trip it out to the islands without the cars...
You are only going to Hvar, not Korcula, right?
This one goes every day:

and summer:

Hope this helps...
Hey thanks rialtogrl! Those are the same PDFs I pulled up from the hvarinfo.com site, but I feel much better seeing them on the official Jadrolinija site. They must be buried somewhere on the Jadrolinija site because I still can't find them on there, but your links work for me.
Thanks!!
It definitely is not the easiest thing to figure out. I just got back from Croatia and spent a gazillion hours trying to figure this stuff out... enjoy Hvar, I loved it there!
