Hello All,
I'm looking at airbnb appartments to rent and I wanted to get your opinion on these ones I got so far on the above cities. Please let me know if they are in a really nice area for August and if you think the price is fair before booking them.
• The first one is in Rome the Address is, 12 Vicolo delle Palle, Roma, Lazio and the price is $110 a night. Is anyone familiar with that area, would you recommend it for the price? (entire home)
• The second one is in Venice, calle Vitturi, San Marco for $130 per night. I think this is an excellent choice, any thoughts? (private bed)
• The third and last is in Florence, it is in Via dei Leoni / Via del Corno, Firenze, Toscana. The price is $80, seems like an great deal, any thoughts? (private bed)
Thank you so much in advance, what I really need to know is if I'm paying the right price for the apartment, and if I could get something in a better area maybe for the same price.
Thanks,
Daniel

We can;t possibly provide info on anything except the area.
You need to get detailed information on each apartment (size of apt, size and bedding of the room you would get, how many others you would have to share a bath with, what floor it is on - how many flights of stairs, what rights you would have in a kitchen, references from people who have stayed their previously, etc).
Be very clear that you are only renting rooms -not apartments - and my first question would be how many other people are residents - and who they are.
This is something you really need to check in advance to know what you are getting into.
It would be better if you provided links if you would like a lot of opinions from a variety of people. Not many people will go through the chore of looking up those apartments.
Sorry about that. Here are the three links respectively.

For Venice https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/214005
For Florence https://www.airbnb.com/z/q/12165298
Thank you so much!
hi dsauna,
the one in Rome i like the position but i'm confused about what you're renting - the blurb says it's got 2 bedrooms, but I can only see one.
in the Venice one [again, good position] it says 1 bedroom, but I can see two!
the third one in Florence i get redirected to a log-on page.
i'd want some more details before I signed on the dotted line. [unless there are just 2 of you].
Yes, there are only two of us. The one in Rome has only 1 room (I asked)
The one in Venice is a house, and I'll be renting a room, sorry this is the third one https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/239760, also a room in a house, but cheaper than the others.
hi again, dsauna,
well, you've picked another great position - good for the price i think.
i understand now that apart from the rome apartment, you are renting a room in a private house, ie a B&B arrangement.
The bottom line for me is this: are you happy with these places? if so, are you likely to find anywhere better for less money? if not, there's no reason not to go ahead, is there? IMO you can spend [some like my DH might say waste] an awful lot of time looking for the "perfect" place to stay, which in fact does not exist.
Thank you so much annhig, that's exactly what I was thinking about. I'll go ahead and book those by monday.
oh the pressure!
i hope you have a great time.
Your Rome location is great and the price more than reasonable.
The apartment in Rome is listed on Domus International which is a rental company that has been around for years.
