I have been recommending Pascal for years.
Now there is a piece in "The New York Times" that mentions him.

I wasn't able to get the link to work....could you tell us what the article said?
You have to register with The New York Times to read the link. Registration is free. The link does work. I actually tried it after I posted because I can't tell you the number of times I have been frustrated by a link that does not work.
It is an article on doing Paris with one eye on the budget--given the current value of the dollar. Pascal Zytomirski is mentioned as a good source for budget apartments, but there are other tips as well.
I did, by the way, just check the link again and it does work for me.
I am in the process of renting an apartment from Pascal at #12 Rue MAlar. Do you know anything about the quality of the apartment and the area? Thanks for any information that you can offer
We rented 211 rue de l'Universite from Pascal in March and it was wonderful. I have not come across another apt with such a great view of the Eiffel Tower. Pascal was very easy to work with and the entire process went very smooth.
Just bear in mind that the article is 3 years old.
We just came back from a very pleasant stay at VRBO #55374 (2 BR/2 BA Rue Cler Area) and really couldn't have enough good things to say about it. Great location, great apartment (we are a family of 6 - plenty of room to feel comfortable), would love to rent it again if we return. Pascal was professional and his assistant even waited for us until we arrived, which was later than the agreed time due to transportation. Rent with confidence.
We've rented #12 Rue Malar (2nd floor) from Pascal twice and look forward to our third & fourth stay at the same place. We love the apartment and the location. Pascal, or his assistant are welcoming, helpful and totally above board. There have been no surprises and, as I said, we'd rent from him tomorrow if we could get away! I recommend Pascal and that apartment without reservation -- couldn't resist that pun!
