apartments and B&Bs in London and Paris

Hi everyone. I'm hoping to get some good recommendations of private vacation rental apartments and B&Bs in Paris in London - ideally direct contact details too rather than portal sites. I'm looking for places with character, more on the cheap side and all around good value for money. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Really need more info. How many people, how long are you staying, when are you going, what is your definition of cheap, apts and B&Bs are two different animals.

What do YOU mean by cheap?

And are you looking for a small studio/room for 1 - or are you looking for a couple or a family or???

They don't really have hardly any B&Bs in Paris, that's more a British concept (or rural in France). Yes, there are some people doing that and I could point you to one website, but you don't want that, I know. I think it's a waste of time looking for a B&B in Paris and doesn't serve a lot of purpose and hardly anyone will have stayed in one because there aren't hardly any.

I don't think there are even that many cheap B&Bs in London anymore (more hotels that call themselves that), if you mean private rooms in someone's home, but I'm no expert on London B&Bs, that's for sure.

waaaay too little info:

When?

How many days? Makes a big difference. Some places have a 7 day minimum, some will rent for just a few nights.

How many people?

Budget? One person's cheap is another's too expensive.

We stayed here in April. Great price and an excellent location. We communicated directly with owner and he was great to work with and highly recommend the apt.

The pictures don't begin to do it justice!
