Some general websites you might check out. www.vrbo.com, www.tripadvisor.com (they have a "vacation rental" section) or www.airbnb.com (some rentals a just a room in a house or apartment but many are the entire house or apartment).

You may want to send a PM to Fethiye Fraser, the British DE for Fethiye on Trip Advisor, who finally settled in fethiye last year.

Not to scare you but to actually ease your mind, the expected earthquake at Fethiye seems to have already happened today at a lower than expected magnitude with no damages and out at sea.

Oh, that's a relief OC (hadn't heard about it here in the far flung Oz)

So have booked on Etihad Airlines to arrive 26 Sept. so we are looking for a rental starting then.
No luck yet with the above suggestions.....

Seeking apartment for 2 persons for 2 weeks in Central Fethiye

Does it have to be Fethiye? If I were choosing a base, it might be nearby Kalkan, Gocek or Kas, in preference to Fethiye.

I'm interested in why you think there's a better place than Fethiye to hang out for a few weeks, Ted?

We researched Fethiye but in the end stayed (2 nights, late April 2012) in nearby Gocek -- to be closer to friends, with whom we were sailing.

We drove around/ through Fethiye on our way to Kas on a day trip. One of our most memorable days, when we saw great natural beauty and some quite attractive towns and villages.

We repeatedly commented on how glad we were not to have stayed in Fethiye -- large, unlovely and difficult to navigate.

The centre may be lovely -- I can't say. We were always on the outskirts, which I found confusing enough that we did not explore further, as we had planned to do.

We decided to head back directly to small and relaxing Gocek. Fethiye just wasn't our sort of place.

There you go. Been visiting Fethiye for 10 years and always found it so central to a huge number of attractions, Kas,Olympos, Oludeniz, Saklikent etc,while having a great coast, market, restaurants, shops, boardwalk etc. and a nice expat population.
...and Gocek just seems miles of unused yachts and pretentiousness when we go there.
