Apartment for 3 month Rent in Rome
Hi there. I am moving from the states to live in Rome, Italy for 3 months. I have narrowed it down to Trasevere and Parioli areas.
I'm have difficulty getting response back from these" on-line apartments for rent" ie http://property-italy.immobiliare.it.
I would appreciate any suggestions on what to do? Other places to look? Apartments for rent?
I'd really like to get there in Mid June and stay until August (unless I love it and get a job
Thank you.
Rula

what do you mean when you say "I'm have difficulty getting response back"?
have you contacted the owners of the apartments using the enquiry forms on the website?
This is the page I got to eventually:
http://property-italy.immobiliare.it...e.html?idMZona[]=10144
there are also vrbo, and homesaway which list direct rentals with owners.

Are you entitled to live and work in Rome. For US citizens (unless you're not) you're limited to 90 days as a tourist - and require special visas (time-consuming and difficult to get) if you want to live in Italy and work there. Otherwise you would be illegal.
Typically tourist apartments rent by the week at a fairy high price - although you might get some sort of deal for longer. But for locals, leases are typically in the years - not months.

My parents spent 3 months in Rome in an apartment they found through www.sabbaticalhomes.com
Their apartment was not as close to the center but you should have a few apartments to choose from.

I am gonna play Devil's Advocate here.
I hope you know that you will be there during the hottest months? Air conditioning is minimal in the older apartments and for reference last June it was in the high 90's and low 100's for many days. July and August present heat and humidity which can be miserable.
Getting a job is virtually impossible unless someone sponsors you or you have an EU/UK passport. Are you going as a student or what? If you are from the USA,it will get expensive living day to day unless you have lots of dollars in saving.
Have you ever been as most people love Rome?

Hi Rula,
My name is Olga, i'm from moscow. I also plan to live 3 month in rome from july till sept. I found nice appartment through
http://www.casevacanza.it/casa-vacanze-roma-prov
I'm working for Reebok/Adidas Russia and agreed to work via computer while I'm in rome
If I like staying, will think on how to make long-term visa.
I speak english and italian, let me know if you need any support with apartment search
possibly can even meet there and share experience or go out together
good luck, Olga

Olgs - not to be discouraging - but what youare planning on doing in illegal. tourists aren;t allowed to work in italy without a working visa and permit (even online working). And I fear if you are there already and tell then you are working online (in the process of asking for a visa) they will deport you.
You really need to look into this in more detail - unless of course this is a troll or a hidden ad.

Hi Rula,
Great question, I was searching for the same thing for our friends coming for 2 months and its difficlut to find suitable accommodation for medium term stays in central Rome. Finally I found http://www.cribrentalsrome.info
Most of their properties are in the centre. If you want in the suburbs try http://www.portaportese.it/rubriche/..._-_Subaffitto/
