Anyone's used Hotels.com before?

Hi,
I am getting some very good deals on Hotels.com for acco. in Norway & was wondering how do they manage it?
They will be charging my credit card immediately for the full amount on booking (usually, the partner sites like venere, etc. just take the cr. card details for guarantee - they don't charge anything immediately) - hence I wanted to know if anyone out here have booked hotels using them and if they are reliable.

Thanks.

I have used Hotels.com several times in the UK, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, and Germany with no significant issues, except their map data missed the Park Consul in Cologne by about 12 miles.

But the kind lady at the Neumarkt U-Bahn booth reissued our tickets for free.

they will charge your card immediately. in case you do happen to cancel and its within stipulated periods they will refund it to your card.

i prefer booking.com good deals and no real charges to your card, helps when you are making extensive bookings to keep the limit free.

but for both, i would check the hotels locations on google maps, sometimes they do get it wrong.

Hi; I agree with 'skinny' about www.booking.com No up front charges to your CC. Check the hotel you like on both sites for you best deal. iris1745/dick

Hi sg,

IIRC, they charge a booking fee.

I recently used hotels.com for the Omni Hotel in Philadelphia. The hotel and room were as described and the transaction was seamless- no problems at all and for this particular hotel on that particular date, they had by far the best rate of the 1/2 dozen usual suspect booking agencies I checked.

Hello all,
I have booked hotels through booking.com previously without any problems.
But it's just that Hotels.com are offering the best rate for the same hotels on the dates I am looking at & hence, I thought I'd check them out.
Thanks for the responses.

Hi sasha; Hotels.com is a reliable discounter. It's just that they charge your CC up front. iris1745/dick
